IV INTERNATIONAL FILM & TERRITORY MEETING

A panoramic view

Abstract

The fourth edition of this Meeting took place, like the previous ones, in the auditorium of Colégio dos Jesuítas, in Funchal, during the 3rd and 4th of November. Having the organization assumed that, in this edition, the Meeting would not have a specific theme, but would be based on the fundamental relationship between cinema and territory, it was possible to bring to Funchal a diversity of conferences and communications of high academic and scientific level, as well as to have moments of fruitful debate between the speakers and the present audience, formed by teachers, students and some public outside the University. Due to the reduced number of speakers (seven) and the time available, the Meeting proved, once again, to be a place of proximity and dialogue, not only academic-scientific but also interpersonal, which is always an added value in this type of activity.
