Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines in Author's Instructions in the About the Journal section.
- Arbitration: open peer review. Articles proposed to Cinema & Território for publication are submitted to the evaluation of two reviewers (or more, when necessary) in the respective scientific area in which the text fits. The articles are sent to reviewers, both internal and external to UMa, who are asked to give their opinion, according to the evaluation form adopted by the journal, taking into account established criteria.
- Evaluation criteria: adequacy to the journal's publication norms; adequacy of the article's theme to the journal's scope; pertinence; originality; theoretical framework; relevance of the critical methodology; clarity of presentation; argumentation and relationship between starting hypotheses and results. The opinions should include recommendations among the following -publish without any modifications; -publish with minor modifications; -publish with significant modifications; -the article is not suitable for publication. Authors will also be asked to indicate suggestions and their justification, with a view to improving the scientific quality of the article submitted for an opinion. The approval of articles subject to scientific arbitration will take place within an estimated period of two months.
- Submission, editing and publication of texts, images and videos is free of charge. After publication, the author retains the rights to the text. C&T offers immediate open access to its content.
Articles
This section will make available the "articles" approved in the edited issue.
Reviews
This section will make available the "reviews" approved in the edited issue.
Assays
Publication of texts in "Essay" mode.
Interviews
The ‘interviews’ from each edition will be available in this section.
Other
This section will include all papers with alternative formats to "articles" and "reviews" that have been approved in the edited issue.
International Cinema & Territory Meeting
This section will include the works resulting from the contributions to the International Cinema & Territory Meetings.
